We are all fabulis (by Tommy Byrd)

The following is a guest post by Tommy Byrd of Atlanta, GA, USA.  Tommy is a fan of fabulis on Facebook, an uploader of fabulis videos, and an enthusiastic supporter of our efforts.  Tommy asked us if he could post the following on our blog.  We said yes.

Heya everybody!  My name is Tommy Byrd and I’m a 19 year old guy from Atlanta, GA.  I asked Jason if I could write a guest post on the fabulis blog because I have something really important to say :

Every gay guy in the world should become a fan of fabulis on Facebook.

No. Seriously.

Why?

Because we are all fabulis.

Whether you are young or old, a twink or a bear, we are all fabulis and we all have something to contribute.

We all need to do this.

I mean, what gay man doesn’t like to share his opinion to any audience?

I don’t know Jason and Bradford very well but I do know that they are up to something very big and revolutionary. And it is going to need our help. As I understand it, they are attempting to build a new social network that helps gay guys like us discover great things to do, places to go and people to meet.  That’s fabulis.  I mean, if you think about it, we deserve our own network with our people, our places and our opinions. And I’m sorry boys, but manhunt, gay.com and grindr don’t count as “networks.”

So when I heard that Jason and Bradford were creating fabulis, I immediately wanted to get involved.  Especially when I heard that their plan is to build fabulis with direct input from gay guys all around the world. That’s really cool.  By getting involved we get to shape fabulis and make it our own.

Growing up gay isn’t easy.  I know for myself being raised in the Bible Belt of the South with parents who didn’t understand. With resources like the internet (and fabulis soon enough) some of those growing pains won’t be as hard. fabulis can be used by the younger gays to find out where to go…whether it is a gay coffee shop in a big city or a starbucks in a small town so they can real life connect with people just like them.

What if you are already gay, out and proud? Not a problem. fabulis is for you as well. There is going to be information on the hottest new bars/clubs and travel information. What cities are hot to visit, what cruises are great to be on, and things that you have to see in your neighborhood and worldwide.

There (hopefully) will be something for EVERYONE it just needs all of our input. Together we can build something that is fabulis for everyone.

In short, this thing has a ton of potential.  It’ll be fabulis if we make it fabulis.  I’m excited to help Jason and Bradford shape this into something special.  You should be too.

Tommy
